Frequently Asked Questions

How do I order a custom item?
You can find all of the custom animals I offer under the "Custom Pets" section. You will need to send me photos of different angles of the animal you want me to copy. Everything I will need from you is stated in each item’s description, so please read through it!

How do I send you photos?
You can email the photos to me at info@kendrascraftycrafts.com
Make sure to include your order number and the pet’s name in the email.

What is the difference between Fuzzy and Not Fuzzy?
Not fuzzy is the regular crochet style.
Fuzzy animals are brushed with a wire brush so that strands are pulled out from the yarn to make it soft and fur-like. Making an item fuzzy will stretch out the yarn a little bit, so if you prefer the shape to be perfect then choose Not Fuzzy. (I think this difference is very minor though, so if you want a fuzzy pet it will still look nice!)

What happens if I don't send photos for a custom order?
If you purchase from one of my "Custom" item listings and I don’t get an email from you, then I will try to contact you at the email address you typed into the order box to get the photos. If I never get a reply back from you, I will have to cancel the order. I will be unable to make a custom item if I don't know what it needs to look like!

Can you make any other custom animals?
At this time, I am only able to customize the animals that I already have listings for. If you are willing to find a pattern for me of the animal that you want, then I may make an exception!

Can you make [animal] bigger/smaller?
The size that is stated in the listing is the size that you will get. With amigurumi, I can't easily make something bigger or smaller without changing the entire pattern. Most of the time, these will NOT be life-sized!

Do you sell your patterns?
No, I don’t. The patterns I designed myself will remain in my own head and on my pieces of scrap paper (for now). However, I make a lot of animals from other designers’ patterns! I have a link to the designer’s page on any item that I didn’t use my own pattern for.

Can I put your crochet animals in the washing machine?
I don’t recommend it. I suggest hand-washing with a damp cloth and a little soap only. Soaking them in water can change the consistency of the stuffing, which will change the shape of the animal. I recommend trying to keep my plushes as clean as possible so they don’t need to be washed. If they get dusty, then you can use a lint roller to take the dust off. (I use this method on my own plushes, and it works well.)
